Dx Core
A private, single-operator automation client for Google Workspace.
What this is
Dx Core is self-hosted software that runs on servers controlled by its sole operator. It connects to one Google Account, the operator's own, to automate routine housekeeping tasks on that account. It is not a public service, it has no sign-up, and it does not accept users other than its operator.
Who uses it
One person. The operator is the only account holder, the only person who authorizes access, and the only person whose Google data the software handles. No third party is granted access through this software.
What it does
- Creates scheduled, versioned backups of the operator's own files and stores the resulting archives in a private folder in the operator's own Google Drive.
- Reads, creates and edits the operator's own Google Docs, Sheets and Slides documents on request.
- Reads the operator's own mailbox in order to forward new message notifications to the operator's private notification channel.
What it does not do
- No analytics, telemetry, advertising or profiling.
- No sharing, selling or transferring of Google user data to any third party.
- No use of Google user data to train or improve machine-learning models.
- No human review of Google user data by anyone other than the operator.
How Google user data is accessed, used, stored and protected is described in the Privacy Policy.
